Places, People & Food

Some of my favorite travel memories aren’t famous landmarks. They’re conversations over dinner, wandering through neighborhood markets, discovering a favorite café, or meeting people who generously shared a little of their culture with me.

Food has always been my favorite way to experience a place.

Long after I’ve forgotten museum dates or train schedules, I remember a tiny bakery tucked down a side street, the family-run restaurant where we lingered over dinner, or the market vendor who insisted I taste something I’d never tried before.

These are the places, people, and meals that continue to inspire what I cook long after I’ve returned home to Luxembourg.

Every place has a story. Sometimes it’s a memorable meal, sometimes it’s a neighborhood market, and sometimes it’s simply the people around the table. Here are a few of the places that have stayed with me.
