A Different Way of Thinking About Food
Lately I’ve been paying more attention to where my food comes from.
A friend and I spent the afternoon walking around Kübebierg, where we discovered Luxembourg’s first urban farm. It was one of those places that are a joy to dicover. Chickens wandered around their coop, sheep grazed nearby, gardens were being planted, and one of the lambs had been born just the day before.
Before heading home, I picked up a carton of fresh eggs from the farm. I looked forward to using them in my cooking.
Around the Farm

The farm is still growing, but there was already plenty to see. Chickens, sheep, gardens, and open green space made it feel surprisingly peaceful, even though it was only a few minutes from the city.
The fresh eggs were impossible to pass up.
What I Learned
- Sometimes seeing where food comes from makes you appreciate it a little more.
- Fresh ingredients often come with a story.
- Inspiration doesn’t always come from traveling far.
- A carton of fresh eggs is the perfect excuse to cook something good.
